Double Deep Pallet Rack
Increased Storage Density
Ridg-U-Rak Double Deep Pallet Rack Systems place one row of 100% selective pallet rack behind another. Using a deep reach lift truck, the operator places a pallet onto the deepest rack structure. Another pallet is then placed on the front rack unit, eliminating the need for an aisle between the two storage racks. These systems are available in original slotted or tear drop style columns.
Increases productive use of floor space by 60% by storing two pallet loads at each aisle lane. Uses deep reach lift trucks.
Industry Compatible Tear Drop Style Pallet Rack
Double Deep Pallet Rack Systems increase productive use of floor space by about 60% to 65%. They offer low initial cost, good density and selectivity.
Double deep pallet rack has become a very popular choice in high throughput operations by offering efficient use of available storage space.

• The capacities shown in this table are for static load conditions only.
• The Frame Capacity Chart gives static load capacities based on the specified "Unsupported Length" of the columns (Vertical Beam Spacing).
WARNING: Due to the system-based design approach of the current RMI Specification, the use of static load capacities are no longer appropriate. Load ratings can only be provided through a system analysis which accounts for configuration of the system, static loading, seismic parameters, stability requirements and the interaction characteristics of the various system components. These capacity tables should only be used as a "starting point".

Double Deep Rack - Virtual Showroom
Double deep pallet rack systems offer greater storage density than selective rack. Using the same pallet rack components, rack bays are arranged two-deep and positioned back-to-back reducing the number of required aisles. Double deep storage is typically used in warehouse and distribution centers, where full pallets of like products are stored in the front and rear position. This application reduces selectivity. A deep-reach lift truck is typically used to access the rear pallet position.
